Train station construction supervision
New train station Karlovac Center is situated across main bus station in downtown city of Karlovac. It is a complex platform construction which is supported with columns and it is the only of that type built in Croatia. Platform is 160 meters in length and 4,5 meters wide.
It consist of side platform, canopy, two approaches by stair case and an elevator. All placed equipment is according to Croatian Railway standards (ticket office, time table board, benches for passengers, wire baskets, lightning poles, watches, advertisement boards, telephone boxes, video surveillance, protected fences, outdoor lighting, electric power station etc.).
The project includes heating of surface for vehicle traffic and pedestrian staircases for access to platforms during winter season. With construction of train station Karlovac, Center railway transport quality will be improved and it should attract passengers, mainly students, and those who work in Zagreb to travel more by train.
