Project upgrading of inspection posts

Investinženjering d.o.o. as a partner to Ove Arup & Partners International Limited enters into a contract with Central Finance and Contracting Agency for the project titled Upgrading of four selected long-term Veterinary and Phytosanitary Border Inspection Posts – Supervision of Works (BIP Metković, BIP Karasovići and BIP Ploče Port), EuropeAid/130296/D/SER/HR. The project uses financial assistance from the IPA programme of the European Union.

The service shall last 25 months. The base of operations during Pre-construction phase will be in Ploče, during Construction phase on each of the construction sites (Metković, Karasovići and Ploče), while during Defects notification and Reporting phase will also be in Ploče.

The works contract is divided as follows: Section 1 – Construction site BIP Ploče Port, Section 2 – Construction site BIP Metković and Section 3 – Construction site BIP Karasovići. On each of the three construction sites located alongside the Croatian coast, two buildings shall be constructed, one for the veterinary and other for the phytosanitary inspection. Total square meter area of all facilities that shall be constructed will be approx. 3.220,00 m² with the maximum distance between the sites equal to 131 km.

FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (New Red Book) and respective Particular Conditions are the basis for an implementation of the works contract.
