Sports Center NK Zagreb consists of sports courts, sports and business project. The building is a “service building” for the sports courts and our approach to the project design was highly rational, tending to fit the required program into the least volume. The project also serves as the pedestrian connection of the Sava embankment and Prisavlje. The facade design had to be solved by functional disposition of premises.
The ground floor accommodates exercise facilities, the first floor occupies a hotel for sportsman with in-house restaurant, club management offices and service facilities. The terrace of the project accommodates technical premises: boiler house and air conditioning outer units.
The sport courts include four football grounds with the training ground and five tennis courts. The main football ground has a grandstand for 800 spectators. Two football grounds are the grass ones, the other two are covered with artificial grass. The area of building is 3,700.0 m2, the total area of the sports center is 58,700.0 m2.
