Floating LNG terminal located on the island Krk is the project of strategic importance for increasing the security of gas supply in EU and Croatia. Technical capacity of the terminal is 2.6 billion cubic meters per year.

Investinženjering d.o.o. provided services for design technical advisory and technical supervision of works for construction of the onshore jetty with associated facilities and high-pressure connecting pipeline for the LNG terminal.

The onshore part of the LNG terminal consists of the jetty head, breasting dolphins for FSRU berthing, mooring dolphins for FSRU and LNG carrier berthing, quick release hooks, the access bridge, the high-pressure offloading arms with connecting pipeline, pig launching station, firefighting system, terminal control building, and associated facilities.

Jetty head is the main part of the jetty, constructed as a platform on concrete piles. The natural gas is transported through the connecting pipeline 1000mm in diameter, with 100 bars and 4,2 km long to the Omišalj gas node and further to Croatian transmission system.

Period of the project 2019 – 2020

Project value – terminal was included in the list of the EU Project of Common Interest (PCI), and has been awarded a grant of 101 mil EUR; worth of construction works is 58 mil EUR

Technical capacity of the terminal – 2.6 bilion m 3 per year, 300.000 m3/h, 4,2 km pipeline DN1000 MM/100 bara
