Planning of an elementary school

Design competition for Popovača elementary school of 6.630m2.

Since the school is the only real point of the social topography of the immediate surroundings, it is designed as a “small pavilion city”.

Areas of communication (inner and outer) are flowing into the main “square”, which is the central school area. Central area is designed as a “square” with a number of smaller bodies that attach to the basic body (dining room, homerooms, library, and hallways).

The gym is designed as a separate “pavilion” with separate entrances that are connected with the “square” and the dining room that can also be used as a café during sport competitions held out of the regular school curriculum.
