Home for the Elderly

Preliminary architectural and urban planning solution for a home for elderly people with spatial testing capabilities of plots and home.

The home is designed as a Z-shaped building, which accomplished quality accommodation on the ground with maximum use of plots and the optimal solution units.

The project includes a nursing home to accommodate 200 people. Layout area of the home is 5900 m2 plot at the step 6.070 m2. The overall height is ground plus 2 levels with a part-basement, and is functionally differentiated by main hall in the basement and ground floor rooms, 1 and 2 floor. Since the whole building is partially buried, the basement floor is the entrance floor. Ground plan is arranged as a broken finger, and consists of two branches connected with the central and common facilities. Within the arms are located rooms, which allow a clear separation between temporary and residential areas within the home with 74 twin and 52 single rooms, of which 10 are double and for single-patients. The facade is designed as a kopilit glass wall.
