Justice Square in Zagreb makes the unique building of zigzag ground-plan which, together with protected buildings at the lot forms the Square or Park of Justice.
Courts building on the Square of Justice are intended as a device which transforms the wider zone, makes it articulated and primarily forms the public space in a form a square or squares. Deriving the context (blocks along Ilica or areas of solitary buildings), the building of zigzag shape (a series of composite letters V) was obtained. With protected buildings on the plot it forms the Square or Park of Justice. The park has been designed as a pedestrian green square with walking surfaces and vegetation. Entrances to the courts of justice, hotel and public facilities have been resolved hierarchically.
The building ”grows” from west to the east, from ground floor + 6 to ground floor + 8 elevations, ending with city marker, a tower of ground + 13 floors. The house is not a “”cage with only one possibility,”” the building structure with facade as a bearing element and the composite panels allows for different floor plan organizations.
